I grew up like most kids playing baseball, basketball, skateboarding, snowboarding, and really any sport that sounded interesting. After a very short college baseball career I had two reconstructive elbow surgeries, two knee surgeries, and one shoulder surgery to fix the damage of twenty years of abuse and lack of regard for my body. Lesson learned
Having learned the hard way that hard work and intensity don’t make up for quality training I began an obsessive quest to learn how to rebuild my body. Along the way I’ve learned, worked, and interned with strength coaches, physical therapists, manual therapists, and PhD’s in a variety of fields in order to learn as much as possible. During that time I applied that knowledge to myself and my clients to slowly mold my own training philosophy based on a few guiding principles:
+ The quality of your training is the foundation of your long term results
+ Our thoughts drive our actions and coaching is as much about the relationship between the coach and client as it is the workout
+ Having a supportive community makes the process enjoyable and keeps you engaged through the ups and downs of life
I’ve been in the health and fitness industry about a decade now and throughout that time I’ve accumulated a long list of qualifications and certifications including: BS, CSCS, PN2, CFPS, and a whole bunch of other things that you don’t care about. All that really means is that I’m fortunate to work with many of the industry leaders on a daily basis. This access allows me to continually provide the very best training, nutrition, and coaching methods to the Ethos community.
My passion is helping as many people as possible achieve their fitness and health goals. I’m looking forward to helping you on your journey.
